What does a Womb to Wild Session look like at Hudson and Rose Photography?
Well firstly it's 2 full 60 minutes sessions on 2 dates, one when you're 34-38 weeks along in your pregnancy and one anywhere from babe being a day old to a month old.
As I don't do traditional newborn posing we can be much more relaxed with our booking time frame so if you're not feeling quite up to the hustle and bustle of life straight away that's ok, we have time.
For your maternity session I have a selection of dresses for you to choose from or you can come in your own. If you don't feel totally comfortable in a dress thats ok, you're welcome to try a dress for a few photos in case you end up loving the results but if you want to skip it altogether thats fine to, your comfort is paramount and whilst I appreciate gentle persuasion to make you feel your most beautiful during such an incredible season of life I will also totally respect your boundaries and wishes. Pregnancy can be a chaotic and emotional phase in life and the last thing you need is someone telling you what to wear.
As this is an hour long session to celebrate the joy of your maternity journey, you're welcome to bring your partner and any other children or pets along so we can take some gorgeous couple and family photos too.
At your newborn family session your welcome to shimmy back into your maternity dress/outfit for a few photos with babe so you have some beautiful matching images and then you're free to change into another outfit if you prefer. This session can be done outside, where your maternity session was or elsewhere or even in your home. (Specific locations will be date dependent though, but that's why we'll chat about it.)
We'll focus on the tiny details, the new bonds each member of the family is creating with your sweet newborn and some relaxed photos of you all enjoying your time together. I'll also capture some of your new babe alone but unlike the traditional style newborn photoshoots these won't take up the bulk of your session time.
